David is a pastor, including his four years of seminary, he has been in ministry for over 30 years. Writing is something that David absolutely loves to do.
Violet is a visual artist. In addition to all the other responsibilities in her life, she feels her talent has been gifted to her by God. She views this gift to be used as a ministry for Him. We have been married for 34 years and have two adult children. Our son, Anthony, works as a structural designer for an architect firm and our daughter, Becca and her husband, Tom are both airline pilots. |
You'll Never Guess What I Saw...At the Lake!
Collaborating together on writing and illustrating children’s books is something we had been dreaming about doing for years. With “You’ll Never Guess What I Saw.... At the Lake” that dream has finally become what the best of dreams yearn for: Reality! This book is based on the true story of Jesus calming the storm in Matthew 8:23-27.
A few years ago our God-daughter and her two young children ages 5 and 2 came to live with us for a while. We had been quite a few years removed from kids' programming for a some time, since our own children were now grown adults. We were shocked to see how hard it was to find non-magical programs for the kids to watch. That fact was the catalyst that prompted us to start creating a book series for children on the true power - which is God's power.
We presently are working on our second children's book in the "You'll Never Guess..." series. It is about Jesus feeding the 5,000. You can find our book at: Violet's art web site.

This Covid Thing...
It's really changed our lives. The way we think about life, the way we do things, the way we interact with each other. There's no getting around it, life is different. Because of that, we have had to be creative in bringing the gospel message to our congregation, and that has been a learning experience...
Through this, we had a lot of extra time to think. We have also had many conversations about not only how this has changed our lives, but about how our lives should look after the fact. What is important? What is God calling us to do differently than we were before? What should we leave behind that wasn't really important? Is there something we should start that is important?
One of the fruits of this experience is that we are now looking out past our own noses and taking the Gospel, through websites, vlogs and blogs to "Jerusalem, and all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth," through the power of the Holy Spirit just like Jesus said we would in Acts 1:8
